The whole political system and the community join hands
To implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, Tuyen Quang province has promptly established Steering Committees at all levels, issued many documents to direct, urge and implement the program. The entire political system from the province to the grassroots level has taken drastic action with a spirit of urgency and high responsibility. During the implementation process, many difficulties were encountered, such as the large number of houses that needed to be built, and the limited resources of the province. As a mountainous province, the complex terrain of the mountains and hills has many difficulties in transporting materials and construction. Poor and near-poor households in need of housing support have very difficult economic circumstances, and are far from roads, making it very difficult to transport materials.
The province has implemented the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for 15,064/15,064 households, including: Building 11,511 new houses; renovating and repairing: 3,553 houses. By the end of August 29, 2025, the plan has basically been completed.
Tuyen Quang also made its mark with many creative ways. The province announced 3 typical house models suitable for mountainous areas, ensuring the "3 hard" standards. Agencies, units, departments, communes and wards mobilized union members, members, soldiers and police to help households transport materials and support construction work days. In particular, many poor households and ethnic minority households were also supported with additional funds and materials to build houses suitable to the identity and customs of each ethnic group.
The province has mobilized more than 630 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, of which, the contribution from households and social sources is up to 335 billion VND. In addition, the province has mobilized more than 140,000 working days and many other construction materials.
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses not only has profound humanistic significance, strengthens people's trust in the Party and the State; ensures social security, but also brings about clear social effects, making an important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development. Strengthens the great national unity bloc, promotes community strength, solidarity, and promotes the spirit of "whoever has something to help", "whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property", so that no one has to live in leaky or dilapidated houses and "no one is left behind". This program can be considered a model of how to do it, how to mobilize resources, support forces, and becomes a driving force to promote a vibrant emulation movement from the grassroots.

The province's miracle in taking care of people's lives
Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh emphasized that the completion of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province is a miracle of the province in caring for people's lives. This result was achieved thanks to the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary houses, the synchronous coordination of local Party committees and authorities, and the active contributions of businesses, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the province.
Along with that is the spirit of solidarity, unity, determination not to retreat in the face of difficulties, the more difficult it is, the more determination, greater efforts, drastic actions, creativity in leadership, direction and implementation. Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh affirmed that this is a very humane program launched by the Party and the State. In Tuyen Quang, when implementing this program, many difficulties were encountered due to the large number of newly built and repaired houses, complex terrain, and many difficulties in people's lives... It is in these difficulties that creative ways have emerged, arousing the spirit of solidarity, sharing and determination of the entire community. The results achieved by the whole province are very proud achievements. The lessons learned in the process of implementing the program will be valuable experiences for implementing other movements in the province. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that completing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a big step forward, but it does not stop there. This is just the first step of the journey towards completely eliminating temporary houses, dilapidated houses and multidimensional poor households. The core is still to continue to promote production and business, create jobs and livelihoods, constantly improve the quality of life and material and spiritual life of the people, encourage people to escape poverty sustainably, and have a truly happy life in new houses.
