Construction Newspaper supports Thai Nguyen in overcoming flood consequences

On October 16, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper, and the working delegation came to present gifts to support and encourage the government and people of Thai Nguyen province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11. Receiving the delegation were comrades: Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Representatives of Construction Newspaper and businesses presented 2.4 billion VND to Thai Nguyen province to help overcome the consequences of floods.

Sharing the difficulties and losses that Thai Nguyen province had to endure during storm No. 11, Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper Nguyen Thi Hong Nga emphasized: Construction Newspaper determined that joining hands to support people in flood-affected areas is not only a humanitarian act but also the responsibility of journalists.

Immediately after launching the support program, within 7 days, the unit mobilized and donated more than 2.4 billion VND (including more than 1 billion VND in cash and about 1.4 billion VND in kind value) to send to people in flood-affected areas of Thai Nguyen province, contributing to helping people quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son thanked the leaders of Construction Newspaper for their attention and support to Thai Nguyen province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Expressing his emotion at the sentiments and sharing of Construction Newspaper for the people of Thai Nguyen province affected by storm No. 11, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son said: This is a historic flood, the floodwaters rose abnormally high, seriously affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of households, causing huge damage to property and infrastructure.

With the proactive spirit and high determination of the entire political system, Thai Nguyen province has minimized the damage to people and property caused by floods. After the storm, the province mobilized more than 50 thousand soldiers and police to help people overcome the consequences. After only 3 days, the lives of the majority of people have gradually returned to normal.

The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee requested the Construction Newspaper and other press agencies to actively propagate, promptly encourage and motivate people and functional forces to participate in overcoming the consequences of floods and storms; promptly refute bad and toxic information before, during and after the storm.

People of Than Sa commune received gifts from Construction Newspaper and benefactors.

On October 16, representatives of Construction Newspaper and sponsors also directly came to give gifts to affected people in the communes of Trang Xa, Than Sa and some other localities of Thai Nguyen province.
