On May 30, Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee inspected the implementation of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project, the section passing through the province. Accompanying him were Comrade Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the My Hao Town Party Committee; and leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities of the province.
The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway construction investment project starts at the cross-border rail connection point (Lao Cai province), and ends at Lach Huyen station (Hai Phong city). The main line is about 390 km long; the branch lines are about 28 km long; passing through 9 provinces and centrally-run cities including: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong and Hai Phong. In particular, the railway route through Hung Yen province includes Van Lam district and My Hao town. has a length of nearly 17 km.
Implementing the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Construction on the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway investment project, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned specialized units, Van Lam District People's Committee, My Hao Town People's Committee to coordinate with units of the Ministry of Construction, consulting units to actively participate in the route direction, stations and works related to the planning and current status of the locality; ensuring the implementation time.
In Document No. 738/UBND-KT1 dated March 21, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Departments of Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment; Van Lam District People's Committee; My Hao Town People's Committee to receive preliminary boundary documents for implementation. The Provincial Steering Committee for Key Projects for the 2021-2025 period has added the project to the list of key projects of the province.
Along with that, the province has submitted a report on capital needs to implement the project; localities have organized widespread propaganda for people in the project area, stating the expected scope of land clearance so that people know, not to carry out construction works within the scope of the project...
Speaking at the inspection, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia requested the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) to coordinate with departments, branches and localities of the province to speed up the project implementation progress. In particular, urgently hand over preliminary site clearance boundary markers at the site so that the locality has a basis to deploy and carry out the following tasks: Propaganda, investigation, statistics, detailed counting of affected households and businesses to serve the construction of resettlement areas, adjustment of land use plans... My Hao town and Van Lam district urgently direct departments and offices to coordinate with communes, wards and towns to review and determine the origin of the land, hand over documents to communes and wards, ensuring that the project implementation progress is not interrupted after the organization of 2-level administrative units...
