With many years of experience in the pharmaceutical food industry, Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Ha (Ha Tinh City) realized the great potential of the industry of manufacturing health support products of natural origin, so she boldly chose this as the direction to start her business.
Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Ha always struggles to deeply process deer antler products.
Ms. Ha shared: "Ha Tinh's deer antlers are mainly raw products, the economic value is still not commensurate with the usage value, so I came up with the idea of investing in deep processing to enhance the value and brand of Huong Son deer antlers. Thinking is doing, I seriously researched documents, worked with experienced experts in related fields to find the right direction for myself. In particular, ancient oriental medicine documents and many modern scientific studies have also proven the effectiveness of deer antlers in enhancing male physiology".
Experienced experts work together and contribute ideas to perfect the product.
With enough scientific basis, Ms. Ha and her colleagues continued to study the formulation, combined ingredients, production technology... According to the research team, to have superior, strong, comprehensive and safe effects for users, in addition to deer antlers, it is necessary to add red ginseng, cordyceps and another herbal ingredient. These ingredients will be mixed and prepared into soft pills. This method combined with freeze-drying technology will preserve the maximum nutrients and valuable active ingredients of the medicinal herbs.
Deer velvet will be mixed with other ingredients and processed into soft pills.
By February 2023, the product named “Emperor Antler Pill - Hong Phuc” was officially completed. Ms. Ha also invested in building a brand, packaging in eye-catching, luxurious boxes. To have the most complete startup roadmap, she brought the product to participate in the startup idea contest launched by the province. Passing the rounds, the project was awarded first prize by the organizing committee with a prize worth 40 million VND.
Ms. Ha excitedly said: “In addition to the award, we also received comments from the judges who are experienced in state management, business, startups, and scientists to improve the project; and to orient the product development path in the future. Through that, we have more experience to confidently start a business with products processed from our hometown specialties.”
After completion, Ms. Ha brought the product to participate in the startup idea competition launched by the province.
After returning from the competition, Ms. Ha quickly researched and invested in additional equipment and human resources to prepare for the construction of a large-scale factory in Ha Tinh. "It is expected that in January 2024, the family will complete the brand identity, prepare raw materials and start production, and bring products to market in the first half of 2024. The goal in the first year is to produce and supply 2,500 product units to the market, equivalent to a revenue of about 5 billion VND," Ms. Ha revealed.
