American billionaire Bill Gates and his girlfriend played tennis near a 5-star resort on Son Tra Peninsula on their fourth day of vacation in Da Nang.

At approximately 10:45 AM on March 7th, Bill Gates, 69 years old, and his girlfriend arrived at a tennis court located on the Son Tra peninsula, Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district. This tennis court is managed by the resort where he is staying, but it is located outside the resort grounds, in a public area, and is separated from the resort by a public road.

He and his girlfriend split up to play doubles with two young Vietnamese men. They played on the large tennis court for about 45 minutes, then continued playing on the smaller court next door.

Bill Gates wore a dark purple t-shirt, white pants, black shoes, and a black baseball cap. He moved quickly and precisely in his ball contact and finishing. He smiled broadly when his team scored a point.

At 12:05 PM, the billionaire and his girlfriend stopped playing and headed back to the resort.

Bill Gates is a fan of tennis and handball. On YouTube in 2021, he stated that he had played these sports for over 50 years. Last year, he also posted a video explaining the rules of handball. In addition, he occasionally participates in horseback riding, rugby, and table tennis.

On the evening of March 6th, Bill Gates and his girlfriend visited and enjoyed tea with a Vietnamese tea artisan at the summit of Ban Co Peak, 700 meters above sea level, on the Son Tra Peninsula.

Bill Gates and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang on March 4th by private plane. In 2006, he visited Vietnam for a day to meet with representatives from the technology industry. During that visit, he spent an afternoon in Tu Son district, Bac Ninh province, trying betel nut chewing and listening to Quan Ho folk music.
