Impressions with international investors

With a proactive and flexible open-door strategy, the province has not only created an attractive investment environment, but also affirmed its position as a reliable partner on the global economic map. Thanks to that, in recent years, Binh Dinh has emerged as a bright spot in foreign affairs and attracting international investment in the Central region.

The Culture, Sports and Tourism Week “Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024” has made a strong impression, attracting a large number of international experts, investors and tourists. The international investment promotion conference with more than 1,000 delegates also became a strategic highlight in the effort to attract high-quality capital flows.

To effectively implement its economic foreign policy, Binh Dinh has expanded bilateral and multilateral relations. The province has signed many memorandums of understanding on cooperation with international enterprises and partners such as the Thai Business Association, Izumisano City (Japan), Champasak Province (Laos), Yongsan District (Korea)... in all fields of training, education, science - technology, trade, tourism and high-tech investment.

Not pursuing the policy of “rolling out the red carpet at all costs”, Binh Dinh focuses on completing infrastructure, improving the quality of administrative services and training human resources to “retain investors with real capacity”.

With the goal of becoming an “ideal destination”, ensuring that foreign investors do not encounter any barriers, the province maintains “5 readinesses” including: planning, essential infrastructure, investment premises, human resources and administrative reform.

Incentive policies such as land lease, labor training, and procedural improvements are implemented synchronously, combined with investment promotion - especially in key industrial parks such as Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh. This place is highly appreciated for its synchronous infrastructure, convenient connections, clean land fund, and good support services, becoming an attractive destination for ASEAN and European investors.

The province also promotes external information through international conferences, scientific seminars, official media channels and the network of Vietnamese embassies abroad. Many delegations, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and the National Startup Association have come to work and expand cooperation to develop the local economy.

Strong transformation

Thanks to its active economic diplomacy policy, in 2024, Binh Dinh attracted 4 FDI projects with a total registered capital of VND2,813 billion (USD113.17 million). The province also promoted trade and tourism cooperation, with an estimated export turnover of USD1.71 billion (up 7.8%) and key products such as wooden furniture, garments, and seafood consumed in more than 80 countries.

GRDP is estimated at 5.3 billion USD, ranking 25/63 nationwide and 5th in the North Central - Central Coast region. Tourism reached over 9.2 million visitors, exceeding 67% of the yearly plan.

The province successfully mobilized 14 foreign non-governmental programs and projects with total funding of more than 1.6 million USD, spanning the fields of education, health, environment and rural development.

From a coastal province with a limited starting point, Binh Dinh has transformed itself strongly to become a strategic destination for responsible international capital flows. That journey is not only a story of infrastructure or policies, but also a testament to a proactive development mindset and a clear desire to rise up of the locality. In the period of 2025 - 2030, the province sets a target of GRDP growth of 10 - 11%/year, export turnover exceeding 10 billion USD, welcoming about 10 million tourists.

Since the beginning of 2025, Binh Dinh has recorded many positive signals when attracting 7 FDI projects with a total investment capital of 1,940 billion VND (equivalent to 77.49 million USD).

Notably, the project of High-quality Garment Processing Factory of Mascot International A/S (Denmark) in Becamex VSIP Industrial Park - area of ​​9.8 hectares, capital of more than 1,290 billion VND, expected to be completed and put into operation in September 2026.

Many international corporations are also promoting investment in Binh Dinh. Up to now, Binh Dinh has 100 FDI projects with a total registered capital of about 1.5 billion USD - showing the strong confidence of international investors.

According to Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, FDI is an important resource to promote growth, increase exports, create jobs, contribute to the budget and build a professional investment environment, deeply integrate. In 2025 and the following years, the province will flexibly invite potential investors in the fields of industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture, logistics and smart cities.

Aiming to become a green economic and innovation center, at the end of March 2025, Binh Dinh organized the 6th National Innovation and Startup Forum - opening up many opportunities for international cooperation. Here, Provincial Chairman Pham Anh Tuan called on international partners to soon start cooperation, as the province is actively implementing projects and attracting strong interest from global investors.

He also said that Binh Dinh is focusing on completing infrastructure, especially transportation. The Phu Cat airport upgrade project will be implemented, with the expectation of having international flights to Binh Dinh in early 2026.
