Canada Vietnamese contractor participates in manufacturing and supplying the facade system for The One tower, 328.4 m high, in the center of Toronto - Canada's largest city.

Mizrahi Developments, the developer of the tower, announced that the project’s height has been increased from 85 to 91 floors. With this adjustment, The One continues to be one of the tallest buildings in Canada today.

The new point of the project is that BM Windows, a Vietnamese contractor, will participate in supplying the facade system for the tower.

The One tower is 328.4 m high and is expected to become a new symbol of Toronto. The project was announced in 2017. The project investor - Mizrahi Developments is one of the big names in the luxury apartment segment. The One was designed by the world's leading architectural firm Foster + Partners. The highlight of The One is the use of a facade system covering the entire building, combined with decorative aluminum panels throughout the floors, creating a unique architecture.

Under this package, BM Windows will manufacture and supply more than 7,000 facade products with a total area of about 27,000 m2. The implementation period is within two years, from July 2023 to May 2025.

According to information from the contractor BM Windows, the project's construction requirements are relatively complicated with more than 38 different types of facades, requiring high technical requirements during production, with some facades reaching heights of up to 6 m. The products not only comply with the strict standards of the North American market but also withstand harsh climate conditions, sometimes down to -18 degrees Celsius in temperate zones. In particular, the building with "skyscraper" height, production materials must also withstand wind pressure, be airtight, and have the best insulation.

In addition to the The One project in Toronto, BM Windows is implementing a series of large projects in Ho Chi Minh City, such as: The Sun Tower District 1 (just completed the first panels), The Global City urban complex project, The Opera Residence project in Thu Thiem or projects on the banks of the Saigon River such as The Nexus, Thu Thiem Zeit River, De La Sol, IFC One Saigon, Hilton Saigon... At the same time, BM Windows is also promoting exports to Australia, Cambodia, Myanmar, New Zealand and now Canada.

According to experts, promoting the shift to exports is a necessary step in the context of the current difficulties of the Vietnamese construction industry, especially in the first half of 2023. Entering the global playing field is not easy due to a series of strict technical standards in each country or region, but it is a way for Vietnamese enterprises to demonstrate their capacity in the international market.
