A consultant at a dealer in the southern region revealed that the upgraded version of the BMW X7 2025 is likely to be launched in the Vietnamese market around October. However, the official distributor has not yet confirmed this information. The source also said that the most notable change on the new version of the X7 will come from the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Specifically, BMW's large SUV will likely be fully equipped with modern safety features.
Meanwhile, the current version in Vietnam only has technologies such as blind spot warning, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams. If following the same direction as the new generation X3 model that was just launched, the X7 may have additional adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. The improvement of ADAS on the X7 is also considered a move to catch up with the Mercedes-Benz GLS - a rival SUV that has just been upgraded and also improved its driving assistance technologies. Not only the X7, BMW is showing a clear direction in popularizing ADAS on many car lines. The new BMW X3 and 5 Series are the first models in Vietnam to own a package of active safety features. Although there is no official information about the upgrade, dealers are currently promoting incentives for the BMW X7. Accordingly, the actual selling price of the M Sport version after incentives is only 4.749 billion VND, nearly 800 million VND lower than the listed price of 5.549 billion VND. The Pure Excellence version is still listed at 6.369 billion VND.
The source said that the current X7 cars are all from the 2023 production year and only have a limited number left. The deep discount is considered a move to "clear inventory" to prepare for the upcoming upgrade. The BMW X7 currently has two versions in Vietnam: M Sport and Pure Excellence, with different design styles. The M Sport version has a sporty look with 21-inch wheels and a rugged front bumper, while the Pure Excellence version aims for luxury with 22-inch multi-spoke wheels and more elegant exterior details. Inside the car is a 12.3-inch digital display system combined with a 14.9-inch central screen running the iDrive8 operating system. High-end equipment includes a sports steering wheel, Alcantara-covered ceiling (M Sport version), light wood interior (Pure Excellence version), heated/cooled/massaged front seats, a panoramic sunroof with 15,000 light points and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with a capacity of 464W.
Both versions of the 2025 BMW X7 use a 3.0L I6 engine with a mild-hybrid system, producing 381 horsepower and 540 Nm of maximum torque. The car comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and xDrive 4-wheel drive system. In addition, the new generation BMW X7 is also equipped with a two-axle adaptive air suspension system, along with a rear-wheel steering system to improve urban maneuverability and stability when moving at high speeds.
