Mr. Do Dinh Chien is the second child in a farming family of 7 siblings. In 1972, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, he joined the army and experienced many fierce battlefields such as Quang Nam and Da Nang. After many years of fighting bravely, he returned to his homeland, carrying Agent Orange in his body, his health reduced by more than 60%. The happiness and joy of starting a family and welcoming children seemed to compensate for his losses and sacrifices, but the after-effects of Agent Orange once again weighed heavily on his family, causing his second son to have a disabled right leg and many illnesses. The pain of seeing his children suffer the consequences of the war he had experienced was the most painful thing for Mr. Chien. However, that pain became a strong motivation, urging him to constantly strive and be determined to find a way to develop the family economy.

After a long time of researching, learning, combining accumulated capital and borrowing from relatives, Mr. Chien boldly invested in a comprehensive economic model. He raised many types of fish for commercial sale such as: Grass carp, silver carp, sesame... in his family's pond. On an area of more than 5 sao of garden land, he also planted a variety of fruit trees such as: jackfruit, grapefruit, longan... along with ornamental plants, flowering plants such as: locust, ngau, areca... Thanks to his diligence, hard work and daring to think and do, his family's economic model has brought about clear results. After deducting expenses, he earned a profit of 70 to 100 million VND/year, helping his family's life to improve day by day, and having the conditions to take care of his children. Mr. Chien shared: To promote the effectiveness of the family's economic model, I always focus on learning and applying new techniques. It is important to choose plants and animals that are suitable for your local soil and climate conditions.

Not only is he good at business, Mr. Chien is also a shining example in community activities, especially the new rural construction movement in the locality. He did not hesitate to donate nearly 30 square ^meters of land to expand rural roads, contributing to creating a new look for the countryside. In addition, he also actively participates in humanitarian and charitable activities in the locality, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love. He always believes that although life is still difficult, joining hands to build the community is the responsibility of each person.

With the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, Mr. Chien always pays deep attention to the veterans and victims of Agent Orange in the commune. He understands better than anyone the pain and loss they have to endure. Mr. Ha Van Phong, Dung Thuy Ha village said: My parents passed away early, I am currently living with my brother who is an indirect victim of Agent Orange. My brothers and I have had many difficulties and hardships in our lives. We are fortunate to have Mr. Chien visit and encourage us regularly. In particular, thanks to his appeal and enthusiastic help, my brothers and I have received financial support from the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and benefactors to build a new house. We are extremely grateful for his kindness.
