Hung Yen plans to spend about 820 billion VND to compensate and support tuition fees.

GD&TĐ - The People's Council of Hung Yen province passed a resolution regulating tuition fees for public educational institutions and support levels for private educational institutions.

On December 9, at the 34th session, the 17th People's Council of Hung Yen province passed a Resolution regulating tuition fees for public educational institutions and tuition support levels for private educational institutions in Hung Yen province from the 2025-2026 school year.

Previously, with the authorization of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen , Pham Dong Thuy, presented the report No. 103 of the Provincial People's Committee on the issuance of a Resolution regulating tuition fees for public educational institutions and tuition support levels for private educational institutions in Hung Yen province from the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, for public educational institutions, the tuition fee for preschool education in wards is 125,000 VND/student/month; the tuition fee in communes is 100,000 VND/student/month.

Tuition fees for primary schools in wards are 120,000 VND/student/month; tuition fees in communes are 100,000 VND/student/month.

For junior high school level, tuition fee in wards is 125 thousand VND/student/month; tuition fee in communes is 100 thousand VND/student/month.

For high school level, tuition fee in wards is 195 thousand VND/student/month; tuition fee in communes is 180 thousand VND/student/month.

Tuition fees for online learning at public educational institutions are 70% of tuition fees for in-person learning.

Continuing education institutions and other training institutions implementing general education programs are subject to tuition fees equivalent to those of public general education institutions at the same level.

Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, Pham Dong Thuy, presented reports and proposals of the Provincial People's Committee to the Session.

The above tuition fee level is the level of the state budget to subsidize tuition fees for public educational institutions when implementing the tuition exemption policy for preschool children, general education students, and students of general education programs in public educational institutions in the national education system in Hung Yen province.

Similarly, this is also the level of state budget support for tuition fees for private educational institutions in the national education system in Hung Yen province.

Tuition support funds are provided based on actual study time but not exceeding 9 months/school year. No tuition is collected during the time when no classes are held.

With the tuition fees specified in the above proposal, the estimated state budget to implement the Resolution's policy in the 2025-2026 school year is about 820 billion VND.

Also at the session, the People's Council of Hung Yen province passed 20 other important resolutions in the following areas: Socio -economic development tasks in 2026; finance, budget, public investment; mechanisms and policies in the fields of internal affairs, science and technology; mechanisms and policies in the fields of inspection, national defense and security; construction; organization of apparatus, payroll, system of legal documents after the province's merger.
