The Politburo assigned comrade Tran Cam Tu to hold the position of Standing member of the Secretariat.

On the morning of October 25, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a ceremony to announce the decision on assigning a Politburo member to hold the position of Standing Secretary of the Secretariat to replace Comrade Luong Cuong - Politburo member and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat who was elected by the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly to hold the position of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. General Secretary To Lam attended and presented the Politburo's decision.

At the conference, comrade Hoang Dang Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, authorized by the Politburo, announced Decision No. 1616-QDNS/TW, dated October 25, 2024 of the Politburo, assigning comrade Tran Cam Tu - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission to hold the position of Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

In his speech assigning tasks, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Politburo had reached a high level of consensus and agreed to assign comrade Tran Cam Tu to assume the position of Standing Member of the Secretariat. This is a very important task for the Party in the context that the entire Party is actively preparing for congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The Politburo has complete confidence in comrade Tran Cam Tu - a senior leader who has received basic training, grown from the grassroots, has deep expertise and a lot of working experience, and has held many important leadership positions of the Party at the central and local levels.

In particular, as Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, he and the Central Inspection Commission have performed well the tasks of inspection, supervision, and advising the Politburo and the Secretariat to review, conclude, and strictly and promptly handle many new, difficult, complicated, and serious cases, contributing significantly to the success of the work of Party building and rectification and the political system, and the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in recent times.

I request that comrade Tran Cam Tu promptly approach and perform well the duties and tasks of the Standing member of the Secretariat as stipulated in the Working Regulations of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat of the 13th tenure, together with the General Secretary, lead and direct the handling of the daily work of the Party; direct the Central Party Office and relevant agencies to organize and implement the work program well; direct and coordinate the activities of the Party apparatus at the Central level, ensuring the smooth, unified, and synchronous operation of the political system.

In the immediate future, I request that you focus on directing the Party Central Office and relevant agencies to successfully complete preparations for Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Cam Tu respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Secretariat, and General Secretary To Lam for entrusting him with this very important task of the Party.

He expressed that this is a great honor and at the same time a very heavy responsibility at a time when the whole country is focusing on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; actively preparing for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress - the congress marking a new development stage of the country, an era of national development.

He affirmed that he will make continuous efforts to fulfill the assigned tasks and hopes to receive the coordination and assistance of the leaders of the Party Central Office and relevant agencies to successfully complete the huge workload.
