Stationed in the four highland border communes of A Xan, Tr'hy, Ga Ry, and Ch Ơm in Tay Giang district (
Quang Nam province), bordering Ka Lum district in Sekong province of Laos, the officers and soldiers of the A Xan Border Guard Post under the Quang Nam Border Guard Command are diligently carrying out all assigned tasks to both protect the peaceful border and border markers, and create conditions for the people in the border region to confidently develop production, reduce poverty sustainably, and enjoy a peaceful Lunar New Year.

On August 19, 2022, the AXAN Border Guard unit visited, provided free medical check-ups and haircuts for the Co Tu villagers, and also organized a cultural exchange featuring gong music to strengthen the bond between the military and the local people. Pham Nhut Thuong documented these activities in the album "AXAN Border Guard Unit Patrols and Visits Ethnic Villages." The photo collection was submitted to
the Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest, organized by
the Ministry of Information and Communications .

Towards the end of the year, travel and interaction between ethnic minorities on both sides of the border increase, while the pandemic situation remains complex. Therefore, officers and soldiers of the AXan Border Guard Post always strengthen their forces to be on duty 24/7 to both protect the border and prevent and control the disease, fulfilling all assigned tasks to protect national border security and
sovereignty , creating conditions for people to feel secure in their production activities.
