Ministry of Education and Training issued Semiconductor Microchip Training Program Standards

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, training program standards are the minimum general requirements applicable to all training program standards of human resource training majors for the semiconductor industry at the undergraduate and master's levels, including requirements on objectives, output standards, input standards, study volume, structure, content, teaching methods, assessment, teaching staff and facilities, technology and learning materials.

The training program standards will be the basis for training institutions to develop and organize training programs on semiconductor microchips. This standard is also the foundation for designing and implementing major - minor, dual degree or interdisciplinary training programs on semiconductor microchips.

This decision sets out a comprehensive and detailed framework for training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry in Vietnam, from training objectives and content to requirements for lecturers and facilities, while emphasizing the connection with industry practices.

The objective of the semiconductor training program is to train high-quality human resources with political qualities, professional ethics, technological thinking, creativity and the ability to work in a global environment; ready to take on job positions in the value chain of the semiconductor industry, including: integrated device manufacturer (IDM), Fabless design, foundry and tool manufacturer. Learners are equipped with a foundation of knowledge, skills and practical capacity to take on different positions in the semiconductor industry value chain, while also being able to adapt to the rapid development of technology and continue studying at a higher level.

The Ministry of Education and Training also announced a list of training majors serving human resources in the semiconductor industry, and statistics on majors related to semiconductor microchips that can participate in training human resources for the semiconductor industry according to current regulations. In addition to the training majors listed in this list, training majors that the Ministry of Education and Training allows to pilot or add to the list of undergraduate and master's training in semiconductor microchips must comply with regulations.
