Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues recommendations to Vietnamese citizens in Korea

On the afternoon of December 5, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering the press regarding recent political developments in Korea, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that as a comprehensive strategic partner in Korea, Vietnam always pays close attention to recent political developments in Korea.

"We believe that Korea will soon stabilize the situation and continue to develop strongly in the coming time," Ms. Pham Thu Hang said at a press conference this afternoon (December 5).

Also at the press conference this afternoon, regarding a reporter's question about the Vietnamese community in Korea, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that according to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, recent political developments in Korea have not yet had any impact on the activities of the Vietnamese community in Korea.

After receiving information related to the current situation in Korea, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea to urgently monitor related developments and immediately contact local authorities and Vietnamese associations and groups in Korea to grasp the situation of citizens living, working and studying in Korea.

At the same time, the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea also immediately coordinated closely with the Vietnamese community and advised citizens to comply with the regulations and instructions of local authorities, avoid crowded gatherings and keep in contact with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea.

"As mentioned at the beginning of the answer, the Vietnamese community in Korea is still living, working and studying normally. In the spirit of serving the people, citizen protection is considered one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We will continue to closely monitor the situation with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and be ready to take necessary citizen protection measures," Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang emphasized./.
