'Viral' documentary about Russian President Putin: 57 million views, 25 years of 'slow motion' and a constant concern

This is a documentary revolving around Russian President Vladimir Putin and has attracted nearly 57 million views on different platforms.

According to Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin, co-author of the film, more than 16 million people watched the film when it was broadcast on the two TV channels Rossiya 1 and Rossiya 24 .

After being posted on social networks, the film and its excerpts attracted about 40 million additional views. In addition, the Smotrim.ru media platform recorded 500,000 views.

In the 90-minute film, the director combined interviews recorded at the Kremlin in the spring of 2025, interspersed with footage from across Russia to showcase the achievements of leader Putin during his 25 years in power in different positions.

In the film, President Putin emphasized that he always thinks about who will lead the country in the future and personally observes and evaluates potential candidates.

However, President Putin stressed that all choices and final decisions about his successor will belong to the Russian people.
