On the afternoon of November 19, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to award Certificates of Merit to teachers in the Army who were recognized as meeting the standards for the title of Professor (GS) and Associate Professor (PGS) in 2025. General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, chaired the ceremony.

Attending the event were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics; representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, and leaders and commanders of agencies, units, and schools throughout the army.
In his speech, General Nguyen Tan Cuong congratulated the teachers who were recognized as Professors and Associate Professors, affirming that these are exemplary examples of teaching and scientific research in the Army. He emphasized that in recent years, the system of academies, schools and research facilities throughout the Army has strongly innovated and created a team of "both red and professional" teachers, who have made many contributions to the cause of training, scientific research and the development of a modern, autonomous defense industry.
The General requested the team of professors, associate professors and scientists to continue to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; constantly improve qualifications, pedagogical skills and research capacity; proactively innovate teaching methods, apply modern science and technology, meeting the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army.
For academies and schools, General Nguyen Tan Cuong suggested continuing to strictly implement the Party and State's policies on education and training, science and technology development; focusing on innovating training content and programs; building smart schools, promoting digital transformation; developing a team of high-quality teachers and scientists to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

On behalf of the teachers recognized as meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuc Hai - Director of the Air Defense - Air Force Academy - sent his thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and affirmed that the teachers will continue to make efforts, contribute, maintain the qualities of Military teachers, and contribute to the development of academies and schools.
At the conference, Major General Vu Viet Hung, Director of the Department of Military Training - School, said that the work of considering and recognizing the titles of Professor and Associate Professor was implemented strictly, in accordance with the regulations of the State and the Ministry of National Defense. The recognized teachers are all exemplary in teaching and scientific research.
In 2025, the entire army will have 78 teachers meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor titles, including 3 Professors and 75 Associate Professors, an increase of 26 comrades compared to 2024 - demonstrating the strong development of the Army's intellectual team in the period of innovation and integration. An important contribution to the cause of education - training and military scientific research.
