Speaking at the meeting, Comrade To Thi Thu Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Tra Vinh province, thanked the Ministry of National Defense for the warm and thoughtful reception on the occasion of the delegation of people with meritorious services to the revolution of Tra Vinh province visiting the capital and visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, and said: In recent years, the implementation of regimes and policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution has received deep attention from the Party Committee and government of Tra Vinh province.
Currently, the whole province has nearly 65,000 people with revolutionary contributions (including nearly 20,000 martyrs, nearly 10,000 wounded and sick soldiers; 3,371 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, more than 3,300 resistance fighters who were imprisoned and exiled by the enemy...). The whole province currently has more than 11,100 people with revolutionary contributions receiving monthly allowances.

At the meeting, directly presenting gifts from the Ministry of National Defense to 60 delegates with meritorious services to the revolution in Tra Vinh province, Major General Doan Quang Hoa emphasized: In recent years, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have led and directed functional agencies to actively and proactively coordinate closely with central and local departments, ministries, branches to research and propose to the Party and State to promptly issue and supplement many documents regulating the regime and policies for war invalids, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and policies for the Army's rear.
The movement of "Repaying gratitude" has been closely and thoughtfully led, directed and organized by Party committees and commanders at all levels in the Army, mobilizing many resources to take care of people with meritorious services, creating a strong spreading effect. Over the past 10 years, the entire army has mobilized officers and soldiers and mobilized sources to contribute to the "Repaying gratitude" Fund with nearly 550 billion VND; built more than 7,000 gratitude houses, cared for 2,879 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; sponsored 702 children of martyrs and seriously wounded soldiers...

In the work of searching, collecting and identifying martyrs' remains, from 2012 to now, the whole country has searched and collected nearly 20,000 martyrs' remains (of which, nearly 10,000 martyrs' remains were collected in the country; over 10,000 martyrs' remains were collected abroad). The whole country has over 300,000 martyrs' remains collected in martyrs' cemeteries but their identities have not been determined.
