On the evening of December 15, in Hanoi , the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army organized an art program and traditional talk to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024). Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and directed the program.
Attending the program were Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense , Political Commissar of the General Staff; leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the General Staff.
At the program, delegates visited the exhibition area of books and photos about the glorious traditions and achievements of the Vietnam People's Army over 80 years of building, fighting and growing; enjoyed special art performances praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho; love for the homeland and country; and heroic feats of arms of the Vietnam People's Army and the General Staff.
Also at the program, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Ha, former Deputy Director of the Institute of Military History, former Director of the Institute of Party History (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ) talked about the history and glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army; the great contributions of the Army and the General Staff to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party.
The program aims to propagate and educate about the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army; the Party's military and defense viewpoints and guidelines in building the people's armed forces, especially the process of birth, growth and great contributions of the General Staff as the strategic command and advisory agency, the brain of the Army and militia and self-defense forces to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnam People's Army. In addition, through the art program, it recreates and deeply reflects the heroic traditional history of the nation and the Army; praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the Army and the glorious tradition of the General Staff in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
