Minister of Education: Printing, transporting exam papers... all are important

TPO - According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Gia Lai needs to ensure safety factors in printing, transporting exam papers and natural disaster factors to ensure safety for staff, teachers and candidates in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

On June 6, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son led a delegation to work in Gia Lai province on the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that this year the province will organize 42 examination sites in 17 districts, towns and cities with a total number of candidates registering for the exam of about 16,200 candidates.

Thereby, the Department of Education and Training mobilized 4,500 managers, teachers, staff and workers to participate in all stages of the exam.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first year that students take the exam according to the 2018 generaleducation program with many new points in content and organization methods; organized according to new regulations, new exam organization plan, candidates register for most of the optional exam subject combinations, in 1 exam but organized for 2 different programs, leading to difficulties.

According to Ms. Lich, in order to not leave any student behind, 14/17 localities of Gia Lai province have reviewed and planned to support 2,407 candidates with a total amount of more than 942 million VND. In addition, the province has developed a plan to support meals, arrange accommodation... for independent candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program exam.

After listening to the opinions of provincial leaders and teachers, Minister Nguyen Kim Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the careful and complete preparation of Gia Lai province in reviewing and preparing for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

According to the Minister, Gia Lai is a difficult area in a difficult region, but in recent years, local education has been in the good group.

Speaking to teachers, the Minister advised that they need to organize the best review sessions for students, but encourage students to review for exams on their own, and not encourage extra teaching or learning.

According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, regarding inspection and examination work, Gia Lai needs to ensure safety factors in printing, transporting exam papers and natural disaster factors to ensure the safety of officials, teachers and candidates. Along with that, in the context of reorganization, Gia Lai province needs to reserve more personnel for exam work compared to previous years.

Regarding the merger, the Minister emphasized that the health and education sectors... related to people are greatly affected, so localities need to try to maintain educational activities; keep the status quo of educational facilities. After the merger, the Ministry of Education and Training will re-evaluate the situation and provide specific instructions, ensuring that students can go to school closest to home.

The Minister emphasized that localities need to anticipate changes to avoid teacher shortages; the merger of local schools must be re-evaluated to avoid haste.

The Minister said that Gia Lai and Binh Dinh have very different educational characteristics. Therefore, leaders and officials of Gia Lai province (old) need to pay attention and consult with the leaders of the new province to implement the best policies for local teachers and students.
