Minister of Education and Training sends condolences to families of students in fire at Doc Lap apartment building

On July 8, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son sent a letter of condolences to the families of the students who were victims of the fire at Doc Lap apartment building, Phu Tho Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the letter, the Ministry of Education and Training received information about the fire on July 6 at Doc Lap apartment building, Phu Tho Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Among the victims of the fire were two students, PK (born in 2014, 5th grader) and PNA (born in 2017, 2nd grader), currently students at Le Van Tam Primary School.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministryof Education and Training, Minister Nguyen Kim Son sent his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and hoped that their families would soon overcome the pain.

The Minister of Education and Training requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and the Board of Directors of Le Van Tam Primary School to visit, encourage and provide timely support to the families of the two students; coordinate with local authorities to support the funeral arrangements for the families and the two children.

At the same time, the Minister requested the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City to strictly implement the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training so that the teaching and practice of knowledge and skills on fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue for students are organized and implemented in accordance with the provisions of law.
