(MPI) - On April 22, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Investment , Minister Nguyen Chi Dung had a working session with Mr. Keith Strier, Vice President of NVIDIA Corporation (USA).

The working session is a step forward after the active and effective exchange process between the two sides, and is also a welcome signal, further consolidating the construction and development of Vietnam's semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung shared information on the development strategy of the semiconductor and AI industry in Vietnam; the project on human resource development for the semiconductor industry; the investment and business environment in Vietnam; and preferential policies, support and facilitation for high-tech, semiconductor and AI projects in Vietnam.
After working with Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, the NVIDIA delegation visited the National Innovation Center at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park (NIC Hoa Lac). The NVIDIA delegation is expected to work with a number of ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises in Vietnam.
Previously, in December 2023, NVIDIA Chairman Jesen Huang visited and worked in Vietnam. Participating in the seminar "Development trends of the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and opportunities for Vietnam" chaired by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, co-organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and NVIDIA Corporation (USA) at NIC Hoa Lac, Chairman Jesen Huang highly appreciated Vietnam's great potential and opportunities in the semiconductor and AI industry, especially Vietnam's human resources in this field.
Mr. Jensen Huang stated that AI is a new wave that is emerging and bigger than PCs, the Internet and cloud computing, and will revolutionize every industry. Building a culture focused on STEM activities, a strong team of software engineers, a strong infrastructure in technology manufacturing and a strong determination of the Government in transforming the country based on technology, Vietnam is positioned to take the lead in the new wave of AI. We look forward to making Vietnam a major AI manufacturing and innovation center for NVIDIA.”./.
