Naval Region 4 Command supports food, provisions, and fresh water for fishermen in Binh Thuan

On the morning of March 3, ship 471 directly supported fishing boat BTh 97669 TS with fresh water, 30kg of rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, MSG, salt, pork, onions, garlic and various spices for fishermen of Binh Thuan fishing boat.

On March 3, information from the Naval Region 4 Command said that ship 471 was on patrol and controlling the assigned sea area in the Da Nam island area. At 7:30 a.m. on March 3, it encountered fishing boat BTh 97669 TS approaching and requesting assistance with food, provisions, and fresh water.

Soldiers gave leaflets and propagated maritime laws to fishermen.

Immediately after receiving the request for support, Major Tran Van Khanh, captain of ship 471, consulted with the ship and reported to the unit leader to support the fishermen who were fishing at sea.

Previously, the fishing boat BTh 97669 TS was captained by Mr. Tran Huu Khiem, born in 1976, from Phu Long village, Long Hai commune, Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan province, with 12 fishermen on board. The boat departed on February 13 from Phu Quy fishing port, Binh Thuan province, for diving. It is known that in recent days, due to the influence of the northeast monsoon, the boat has not been able to regularly participate in fishing, so we want to support fresh water and food to have conditions to catch more seafood before returning to the mainland.
