Lieutenant General Hoang Van Dong commented that in the coming time, the situation at sea is forecast to still have many unpredictable factors. If the countries bordering the East Sea do not control the situation well, it could lead to local armed conflicts, seriously affecting peace, stability, freedom of navigation and aviation in the region and the world ... In addition, the number of Vietnamese fishing vessels violating foreign waters has not shown any signs of decreasing...
The announcement of the decision and the launch of Squadron 42 is an important event, contributing to the overall task of firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
