Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reviews work in the first 6 months of 2025

On the morning of July 17, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an online conference to review the work of the first 6 months of 2025 and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months of the year, cultural, sports and tourism activities achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields. Tourism continued to grow impressively with the total number of international visitors to Vietnam reaching 10.6 million, an increase of over 20%, raising total revenue from tourism to nearly 520 billion VND. Activities to preserve and promote cultural heritage were effectively implemented. Press, communication and publishing activities had many positive changes, especially the fight against bad and toxic information was carried out regularly and continuously. The mass sports movement developed strongly. High-performance sports had many improvements when winning more than 330 international medals. In the 6 months, the cultural industry and entertainment industry showed signs of positive development with many unique and creative cultural products and activities.

Delegates discussed solutions to promote the progress and quality of work implementation in the last 6 months of the year, such as focusing on directing the successful organization of exhibitions of socio -economic achievements, events, cultural and artistic activities, entertainment programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; continuing to promote digital transformation and administrative reform in the fields of culture, sports and tourism; developing draft laws, decrees and circulars for promulgation and submission to competent authorities for promulgation according to the 2025 law-making program.
