Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Strengthening drug prevention and control in the new situation

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Document No. 4370/BVHTTDL-BCDDS to agencies and units under/under the Ministry; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Culture and Sports; Department of Tourism of provinces/cities under the Central Government on strengthening drug prevention and control in the new situation.

Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 3524/BCA-C04 dated August 6, 2025 of the Ministry of Public Security on coordinating and directing the strengthening of drug prevention and control work in the new situation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests agencies and units under/under the Ministry to specify the goals and tasks in Conclusion No. 132-KL/TW dated March 18, 2025 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 36-CT/TW dated August 16, 2019 of the Politburo on enhancing the effectiveness of drug prevention, control and control work... The Ministry requests agencies and units to identify key, breakthrough and specific tasks to lead and direct drug prevention and control work in order to successfully implement the set goals and tasks.

At the same time, the Ministry also requires its affiliated units to integrate propaganda content on drug prevention and control into cultural activities; family; physical education and sports ; tourism; press; radio and television; news agencies; publishing, printing, distribution; electronic information; grassroots information and foreign information in accordance with assigned functions, tasks and annual work plans. Through cultural, artistic, physical education and sports programs and events, displays, exhibitions, painting and sketch contests, tourism promotion... to integrate propaganda to raise awareness of law compliance, and at the same time prevent and control drugs for each individual, family and society.

In addition, the Ministry also wishes to promote propaganda and education on drug prevention and control in schools; coordinate between schools and local authorities on drug prevention and control; strengthen the connection between families-schools-society and mass organizations in drug prevention and control.

The subordinate units, depending on their functions and tasks, organize propaganda, disseminate widely and advise the Ministry's leaders to direct press agencies to innovate and diversify communication forms, raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society in propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on drug prevention and control.
