The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued an official document stating that, based on the 2022 Cinema Law and related legal documents, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Decision No. 316/QD-BVHTTDL dated February 6, 2024 approving the Plan for pilot distribution and dissemination of a number of films produced using the State budget at the National Cinema Center and a number of Television and Radio - Television stations nationwide.
This is one of the necessary tasks contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the field of film distribution and dissemination in particular and cinema activities in general. At the same time, it contributes to bringing cinematographic works ordered by the State to a wide audience and the People. Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Cinema to coordinate with the National Cinema Center to organize the dissemination of the films "Dao, Pho and Piano", "Hong Ha Nu Si" and "Cluster of 06 Vietnamese animated films" from February 10, 2024 (ie the first day of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024).

After being released, the films received the attention of a large audience, creating a media effect and the attention of audiences who love Vietnamese films. Especially the film "Dao, Pho and Piano" (Director and Screenwriter: Meritorious Artist Phi Tien Son). The film was ordered by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be produced by Feature Film Studio I Joint Stock Company. The film was first released to the public in September 2023 and won the Silver Lotus Award at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival held in Lam Dong province in November 2023.
The film "Peach, Pho and Piano" premiered at the National Cinema Center from February 10, 2024 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2024) with 3 screenings/day. Due to the sudden increase in the number of audiences wanting to watch movies, up to February 20, there were 18 screenings/day, but it was still not enough to meet the audience's needs. In that situation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed the Department of Cinema to work with a number of film distribution and distribution units to encourage the dissemination of Vietnamese films produced using the state budget to a wide audience and people in order to promote effectiveness, thereby promoting Vietnamese culture, country and people.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism encourages cinema establishments to participate in disseminating the film "Dao, Pho and Piano" as well as films ordered by the State and Vietnamese films in general. Based on current regulations and practical requirements, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is directing specialized agencies to research and advise on further perfecting legal regulations to encourage and create favorable conditions for cinema establishments to disseminate films ordered by the State./.
