After yesterday's competition (June 12) at the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship - AVC Nations Cup 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team continued to break records on the World Volleyball Rankings - Vietnam rose 1 place, reaching 28th place in the world thanks to accumulating 3.96 more points with a 3-0 victory over Australia. This is the best ranking in the history of women's volleyball in the country.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team took advantage of participating in the continental tournament to continuously improve their rankings on the Rankings, continuously breaking records for the highest rankings ever achieved.

After the victory over Taiwan (China) on June 8, the Vietnamese team rose to 30th place in the world for the first time - the previous best ranking was 31. Not stopping there, the victory over India 3 days later helped Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates continue to conquer a new milestone - climbing to 29th place and most recently increased 1 place to 28th place in the world.
From being only a small number of points behind Kazakhstan before the start of the AVC Nations Cup 2025, we are now 14.32 points ahead of our opponents. This gap will be further widened if Vietnam defeats Kazakhstan in the semi-final match taking place at 5:30 p.m. today (June 13).
Not only Vietnam, some other teams also witnessed a leap in the World Rankings thanks to participating in the AVC Nations Cup 2025. Mongolia climbed to 66th in the world, Iran rose 6 places to close in on the top 50, while New Zealand, which was not on the World Rankings, now climbed to 55th place.
It is expected that the rankings of the Vietnamese team as well as other teams competing in this year's AVC Nations Cup will continue to fluctuate today and tomorrow (June 14) - the last two days of competition of the tournament.
