Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team ranked 19th overall at the world tournament

VHO - The journey of the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team to compete in the 2025 Women's U21 Volleyball World Cup in Indonesia ended with a convincing victory.

After losing 1-3 to Chile's U21 women's team in the 17th-20th place match, the Vietnamese girls entered the 19th-20th place match with the Dominican Republic's U21 women's team this afternoon, August 16.

In set 1, the Vietnam U21 women's team entered the game confidently and played solidly, especially in defense.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic U21 women's team attacked a lot but made too many mistakes, contributing to the Vietnam U21 women's team winning 25-19.

In the next 2 sets, the U21 women's team of Vietnam played explosively, continuously taking a large lead and winning 25-17.

In this match, Quynh Huong and Thuy Linh were the two players who scored the most points for the Vietnam U21 women's team, with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Defeating Dominican Republic U21 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17), Vietnam U21 women's team finished the 2025 Women's U21 Volleyball World Cup in 19th place.

The team ended the tournament with a win.

This is the first time in history that Vietnamese volleyball has had a youth team participate in the world championship of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
