Bellingham's strange photo goes viral

A photo that went viral on social media last week shows Jude Bellingham appearing to float in mid-air during a Real Madrid training session.

The mystery behind Bellingham's bizarre moment is revealed.

Bellingham was given a separate workout by coach Xabi Alonso to regain his fitness during the recent FIFA Days. The image of the English player "hanging" himself with a resistance band and lifting 14kg weights made fans curious. Many even called him "The Flying Man of Madrid".

According to The Athletic , this is actually a new type of strength exercise designed by fitness expert Ismael Camenforte - who was brought in by Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.

This exercise combines sumo squats and jumping jacks with a resistance band, creating a plyometric reaction that helps increase inner thigh strength and explosive jumping ability. Resistance bands help the body withstand elastic force, while heavy weights create additional resistance for maximum muscle activity.

A source from Real Madrid said: "This is a completely normal method in modern lesson plans, it's just that looking at the photo it looks a bit… strange."

Behind the change is a revolution at Valdebebas. After Carlo Ancelotti left, Alonso brought with him a young, modern team, in which Camenforte was considered the brain behind the club's physical training program. In contrast, "veteran" Antonio Pintus - once protected by President Florentino Perez, only plays a general supervisory role instead of directly managing training.

For Bellingham, training is just part of the journey to regaining form. Although he has returned to competition, the 22-year-old midfielder is not yet 100% fit.
