Recently, visitors to Tong Duy Tan - Cam Chi food street (Hoan Kiem district) were surprised to see this street "changed its look" with the highlight being the bronze statue of a man carrying pho placed at the intersection at the beginning of the street.
Recently, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi City) assigned the District Construction Investment Project Management Board to be the investor of the project "Renovation and construction of the welcome gate of Tong Duy Tan - Cam Chi culinary street". Accordingly, the welcome gate on Dien Bien Phu Street is referenced from the image of Dai Hung gate of the ancient Thang Long Imperial Citadel, this is the starting point of Tong Duy Tan culinary street.
Inside Tong Duy Tan - Cam Chi street, hundreds of lanterns are also decorated on the trees. These lanterns are printed with images of Vietnamese folk art such as dragons, unicorns, turtles, phoenixes...
The highlight of Tran Phu Square is the bronze statue of a man carrying pho.
The bronze statue is 1.6 m high, aiming to introduce and honor the value of Hanoi Pho.
When it gets dark, the statue is illuminated with yellow lights to make it stand out.
It is known that the artwork was made by Painter The Son and Sculptor Nguyen Van Thinh.
The statue attracted the attention of locals and tourists after completion.
