Launching Star Theater with modern technology for sublimated art

After a decade of accompanying thousands of art events, Star Galaxy Theater (87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi ) officially entered a new chapter with the new name Star Theater, on the afternoon of May 20.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of Ngoi Sao Theater Nguyen Thi Nguyet Anh said that this change was inspired by the journey of more than 10 years of witnessing the shining moments of professional and individual artists here. The unit wishes to give more people the opportunity to shine and bring art to sublimation, bringing new, attractive and modern experiences to the public.

Star Theater is located in the heart of the capital, where culture, art, and community intersect. This is the only theater with a semicircular stage in Hanoi, optimizing emotional connection and full vision for the audience.

In particular, the Star Theater has a multi-layer projection stage that supports the projection of the most advanced technologies such as AR/VR, hologram, 3D mapping. The theater has a unique transparent gauze screen that creates a vivid 3D effect; a panel screen made of 10 large, flexible panels that support multi-layer display; a maximum-sized stage LED screen; an international standard sound and lighting system that reduces noise, optimizes the ability to transmit speech, music and stage effects, etc.

As an artist with a long history of performing arts, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, believes that bringing modern technology to event performances is an inevitable development, especially in the context of the public increasingly demanding rich and novel experiences. Technologies such as AR/VR, holograms, or 3D mapping, when properly applied, will not only enhance the beauty of the performance, but also create a new dimension for the emotions and imagination of the audience.

“I welcome the Star Theater’s investment in a multi-layered projection stage system, a synchronized sound and lighting system, capable of fully exploiting these new technologies. That opens up many opportunities for performing arts and projections, including those such as circus, to be renewed in both form and storytelling. Technology does not replace emotions, but it will help amplify emotions, spread more strongly, and that is what any artist desires,” People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang expressed.

The Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation said that with this modern space, the Vietnam Circus Federation really wants to cooperate in building a performance program combining circus, dance and visual projection, exploiting the depth of space and emotional depth.

Star Theater has also signed cooperation agreements with many art units in the capital to bring new artistic experiences to the public.
