A turning point in the comprehensive digital data development strategy

On October 29, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province coordinated with the National Data Association to organize the Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Forum in Hung Yen province with the theme "Data economy , promoting innovation and sustainable development".

The event gathered more than 500 delegates from central ministries, branches, leading technology and telecommunications corporations; research institutes, universities, investment funds and local business communities...

Data economy is a key pillar

Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem said that in the context of implementing the Data Law 2024 and Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Hung Yen province identified the data economy as a key pillar to promote green growth, towards innovation and sustainable development.

Hung Yen province has issued Decision No. 1165/QD-UBND approving the "Strategy for digital data development in Hung Yen province for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035". Thereby, data is identified as a new resource; a foundation for promoting digital transformation, digital economy, digital society, and building a smart and dynamic Hung Yen province.

"The 1st Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has set the goal that by 2045, Hung Yen will become a smart, ecological, centrally-governed city, a modern industrial, commercial, service and logistics center of the Red River Delta. To realize that aspiration, Hung Yen clearly identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the central driving force for rapid and sustainable development," the Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

Innovation in thinking and doing

Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center and Vice President of the National Data Association, said that data is the "new oil" of the 21st century and to exploit this "oil mine", the Association always researches, creates breakthroughs in science and technology development, and innovates in thinking and working.

The association brings together many of the world's best experts, with the deepest understanding of technology, strategic vision and international experience in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, etc.

"Data is the 'heart' of digital transformation, the 'brain' of the era of national growth and prosperity. The National Data Center was established with the mission of becoming a pillar, a place to integrate, synchronize, store, share, analyze and exploit data of state agencies, forming a national data warehouse on people and a comprehensive data warehouse to serve socio-economic development," Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong emphasized.

Notably, within the framework of the event, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation between the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and the National Data Association took place, and the launch of the Hung Yen Virtual Assistant platform took place - an important starting point for the application of digital technology in government management and administration.
