79 years ago, the Communist Party of Vietnam led our people to rise up and carry out a general uprising to seize power, independence and freedom for the nation. The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 created a great turning point in the history of the nation; bringing Vietnam into a new era, an era of independence associated with socialism.
In August 1945, along with the whole country, the Ha Tinh Uprising Committee quickly led the people to rise up and fight for power, becoming one of the four provinces to gain power the earliest in the country.
