This special BYD Ti 3 Black Myth: Wukong edition will be officially launched at the ChinaJoy 2025 exhibition - one of Asia's largest digital entertainment events - held annually in Shanghai. With the theme of "72 transformations" inspired by the legendary power of Sun Wukong, the car stands out with its glossy black paint and metallic gold decorative details.
The front of the car has been redesigned with a sporty front bumper with a large spoiler, a cluster of five roof-mounted auxiliary lights and LED strips around the wheel arches. The aerodynamic hood has fake air intakes to enhance the visual effect. In addition, the car is also equipped with two-tone black and gold rims, a rear storage box printed with the Fangchengbao logo and the yellow word “Wukong”, and a fixed spoiler mounted on the rear window. The overall design still retains the characteristic strong style of the Fangchengbao line, now incorporating visual elements from the game. First launched in April 2025, the BYD Ti 3 is envisioned as a futuristic-looking compact electric SUV, with a blacked-out grille, LED daytime running lights, and a trapezoidal front bumper. The rear of the vehicle features a unique design with a two-tiered spoiler and a horizontally opening tailgate with an integrated 28-liter external storage box.
The special edition Ti 3 also features extended wheel arches with integrated LED lights and a revised front bumper. The car comes in two variants: the standard version and the “drone” version with a raised roof to integrate the drone, increasing the overall height to 1,930 mm. The basic dimensions of the car are: 4,605 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,720 mm high and a 2,745 mm wheelbase. The Ti 3 is developed on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo+ platform, using a four-wheel drive system with two electric motors for a total output of 310 kW. The car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 201 km/h. The CLTC standard range is 501 km, with three battery options: 65.28 kWh (rear-wheel drive), 72.96 kWh (AWD), and 78.72 kWh (drone version). The interior is equipped with a 15.6-inch (or 12.8-inch depending on the version) central touch screen. Fully digital instrument cluster, 12-inch head-up display, ambient interior lighting, heated and cooled power front seats (except base model), four-spoke steering wheel with terrain mode, and convenience tools such as flashlight, microphone, and mini-fridge with temperature control.
The Ti 3 is priced from 133,800 to 193,800 yuan (approximately $18,700 to $27,000), competing with rivals such as the iCar V23, Smart #3 and Zeekr X. In June 2025, the model sold 12,017 units. In addition to the Ti 3 collaboration, BYD will also showcase a series of co-branded models at ChinaJoy 2025, including the Han L, Seal 06 GT, and Denza Z9 GT – all of which were showcased at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show – as part of its expanding partnership with Black Myth: Wukong.
