In the 2024-2025 school year, Ca Mau province will have 218 preschools with more than 2,100 groups and classes. Preschool education has mobilized over 56,000 children to go to school, of which nearly 100% of 5-year-old preschool children study 2 sessions/day and complete the Preschool Education program according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
The rate of mobilizing ethnic minority preschool children to attend class also reached over 93%, contributing to maintaining the achievements of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children in the province.
Preschool facilities continue to be invested in, with nearly 85% of schools meeting national standards. Many teaching models and methods have been actively and effectively implemented, such as STEAM, happy preschools, child-centered; maintaining topics on motor development, language, life skills, etc.
The programs “I love Vietnam”, English immersion, inclusive education… are widely replicated, contributing to creating a diverse learning environment, promoting children’s comprehensive development.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, emphasized that Preschool Education is the foundation for the sustainable development of the entire education system. To achieve the goal of "Children today - world tomorrow", educational institutions need to continue to innovate methods, focus on health care, safety, nutrition, as well as build a friendly, positive learning environment, suitable for local conditions and children.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Ca Mau Preschool Education needs to focus on maintaining and improving the quality of universal education for 5-year-old children, expanding the mobilization of preschool children to attend classes, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.
“The spirit of initiative – creativity – responsibility must be instilled from management staff to each teacher; each kindergarten needs to be a place where children are cared for with love, taught with responsibility, and developed in a positive, child-centered environment. At the same time, closely connect with the locality and parents to improve the quality of care,” Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen emphasized.

On the same day, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau organized a meeting to share experiences in organizing 2-session teaching/day and boarding work at primary and preschool levels in the 2025-2026 school year.
According to the sharing in organizing 2 sessions/day, recently schools in Ca Mau have focused on integrating extracurricular activities, rich in experiences, competitions with the meaning of learning while playing, playing while learning, helping students not only supplement knowledge and skills but also have more joy and motivation to study.
Regarding boarding work, schools in the province, despite many difficulties in terms of facilities and equipment, have devoted resources to investing in boarding places for students, organizing on-site cooking or contracting cooking with reputable establishments to ensure nutrition and food hygiene and safety for students' physical development.


Within the framework of the closing ceremony, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau also coordinated with the Bac Lieu Vovinam Federation to organize a Vovinam martial arts performance program, with the participation of 500 martial artists from 8 primary and secondary schools in Bac Lieu ward, Ca Mau.
