(Dan Tri) - Runner-up of the 2019 National Chamber Singing Competition Mai Chi has just officially released her debut MV "Carrying a child to daycare", a famous composition by musician Dao Ngoc Dung.
Mai Chi shared that the inspiration for the MV came from the strong emotions she felt on her journey to Truong Sa last April.
"I decided to make the MV "Carrying a Child to the Nursery" from my business trip to Truong Sa last April. I remember, on the evening of April 10, 2023, I went up to the cabin of the fishing control ship KN 290 of the working delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to watch the night sea, then the soldiers asked me to sing a song for them. I thought, they were all soldiers who had been away from home for a long time, they would definitely miss their home, their wives and children a lot, so I sang them the song " Carrying a Child to the Nursery ".
The soldiers were very moved when they sang. That scene made me feel very special, so at that moment, I had the intention of starting to make a MV after returning to the mainland as a gift for the border soldiers who are also my comrades," the singer said.
Mai Chi is a singer of the Border Guard Art Troupe, currently holding the rank of Second Lieutenant. Wearing the green uniform of a soldier, she often performs for soldiers from islands to remote border areas, so she understands the feelings of soldiers far from home.
In her debut MV, Mai Chi wrote a beautiful story about the warm family of a border soldier in the Northwest highlands to dedicate to her comrades.
The border guard has a small, lovely home, with a gentle wife and young children, but because of his duty to maintain peace at the border and for the Fatherland, he is always away from home. In the village, his wife works hard every day to carry her child to kindergarten, raise him to be a good person, and nurtures the dream of following in his father's footsteps and becoming a border guard in the future to protect her son's rich and beautiful homeland.
Every image in the MV and the lyrics of the song clearly depict this dream. On every journey carrying her child to kindergarten, on the journey of raising her child to adulthood, the mother always shows her beloved son the brilliant beauty of her homeland and country with immense pride:
"It's yours, my child, the whole rice field, the whole hill/ The whole four and five corners of the world, tomorrow, and life/It's yours, my child, the whole high sky with its white clouds/ The whole mountains, the whole forest, and the streams singing with joy".
Choosing Mai Chau in the season of golden rice, each rice stalk curved into a hook shape, heavy with grain, signaling a bountiful harvest, to film, Mai Chi's MV "Carrying a Child to Daycare" captivated viewers with each carefully crafted frame, full of vitality.
Mai Chi's bright, joyful, and passionate voice blends into the vast rice fields, blends into the beautiful scenery down to every treetop, blade of grass, stream, and house... making the audience overwhelmed with emotion, arousing love for the homeland and especially the desire to protect the beautiful homeland.
That was also the wish of Mai Chi and Project Director Vuong Long when making the MV. Project Director Vuong Long shared that, besides building a warm story about the family of the border soldier, the immense motherly love, praising the beauty of the Northwest mountains and rivers, the MV also specially depicts the image of the son of the border soldier couple from when he was on his mother's back until he grew up, knowing how to dream of following his father to protect the border, protect peace .
"This is also the reason why we chose to release the MV on the occasion of International Children's Day, the Month of Action for Children in 2023. We want to highlight the role of children in the responsibility of loving and protecting their homeland and country, and also want to remind parents to be like the mother in the song, always nurturing love for their homeland and country in their children from the cradle," shared project director Vuong Long.
