Ho Chi Minh City announces results of competition for planning ideas for National Historical

On the morning of October 17, the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the results of the international competition "Ideas for planning a national historical and cultural park" in Thu Duc City (now Long Binh Ward). Attending the ceremony was Mr. Phan Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City, head of the organizing committee.

Announced at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City awarded 5 prizes to units with creative and practical ideas for planning the Long Binh Ward Historical - Cultural Park.

Second prize went to the competition plan of the consortium Sasaki Associates - Anh Duong Construction Consulting Company (code PA-QH01), with an average score of 77.22 points and the competition plan of NDV Architecture Company Ltd. and associates (code PA-QH03) with an average score of 77.56 points.

The competition plan of Vo Gia Corp Company Limited (VGC) (code PA-QH10) had an average score of 60.56 points, winning third prize.

Two consolation prizes went to the project of the Dinh Phat - Huni Architectes consortium (code PA-QH02) with an average score of 59.89 points and the project of TJUPDI - GTD (code PA-QH07) with an average score of 56.78 points.

The National Historical - Cultural Park is one of the key projects, a unique cultural address, the center of cultural festival activities of the city. Currently, the park has gradually taken shape with a number of existing projects: Buu Long Pagoda, Hung King Temple, Nguyen Huu Canh Temple, Hoi Son Pagoda...

The competition aims to find creative planning ideas for the Ho Chi Minh City Historical and Cultural Park. This planning area is located in Long Binh and Dong Hoa wards (formerly Binh Thang ward), with a total area of about 395 hectares.

From the results of the competition, the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City will consider selecting important contents and orient the organization to adjust the 1/2000 zoning plan of the National Historical - Cultural Park.
