On October 18, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son signed a decision to allocate the 2025 provincial budget to units and localities to overcome the consequences caused by floods (phase 2).
The total amount is more than 361 billion VND, of which 170 billion VND is from the central budget reserve.
The above funds will be allocated to 7 units in the province including the Police, Military Command, Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, State Treasury of Region VII and 84 communes and wards affected by storm No. 11 (storm Matmo).
The places receiving the funds must ensure that they are used for the right purposes, for the right subjects, openly and transparently, without loss or negativity, and must complete the support disbursement before October 30.
Previously, on October 9, Thai Nguyen province allocated 50 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 (phase 1) to support units and localities to overcome the consequences caused by floods.
On October 17, Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with departments, branches and some localities on allocating funds to support damage caused by storm No. 11 (Matmo) and storm circulation.

Preliminary statistics show that the resources to overcome the consequences of natural disasters are estimated at about 725 billion VND. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province noted to focus on supporting localities with heavy damage, along with the education, health, agriculture sectors and waste collection and transportation after floods.
According to a report by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, the total damage caused by storm No. 11 and the floods after the storm is estimated at more than 12,200 billion VND, with about 200,000 houses affected and 13,600 hectares of crops and aquatic products damaged.
Many commercial areas, shops, businesses and people's property such as cars, motorbikes and electronic equipment also suffered heavy damage.
