RHYDER opens up about 12 years of ups and downs from a child singer to "Anh trai say hi"

Once a beloved child singer, RHYDER (real name Nguyen Quang Anh) spent many years struggling to find a direction for his development. There was a time when the audience thought that Quang Anh "could not overcome the shadow of the past".

After moving to the South in 2018, the male singer continuously looked for opportunities to break through but still struggled. In a conversation with Dan Tri reporter in 2022, he admitted that he had fallen and wanted to give up.

"I was faced with two choices: either return to the North to be a normal person, selling milk tea and cosmetics, or stay in Ho Chi Minh City to pursue music , throwing myself into my passion even though I didn't know when it would work. But then I decided to stay," RHYDER said.

Perseverance has helped the male singer "reap sweet fruits" when he gradually gained recognition from the audience, especially after Rap Viet and Anh trai say hi . RHYDER said that the audience's encouragement was the motivation for him to stand up after times he wanted to give up.

Sharing in the show Anh trai say hi, RHYDER said that he considers the stage his home and the audience his family. In each round, he wants to give his most dedicated performances to surprise his fans.

"There were times when I wrote music that almost no one listened to. To get to where I am today, having people in the profession and the audience feel and support my music, that's what I received from the program," the singer confided.

Looking back on his 12-year journey, RHYDER confided that he was grateful for his constant efforts and thanked the audience for always being by his side throughout all this time. In particular, the singer expressed his pride in the fan community called FLASH - the source of motivation that helped him persevere in pursuing his musical path until today.

Recently, RHYDER released the album Trap, consisting of 10 songs composed by himself, with the central story being the vicious cycle of love and hurt. Each song is a slice of the journey, taking the audience from loss to hope, from desolation to revival.

“After 12 years in the profession, this debut album can be considered a “brainchild” that I have cared for and loved throughout many ups and downs of my career,” RHYDER said.

In particular, the album left a strong impression with the main image of a lonely RHYDER. "This album is a long process of effort from myself and the crew. When I saw the results in my hands, I believed that these efforts were completely worth it," the singer shared.

RHYDER's real name is Nguyen Quang Anh, known for becoming the Champion of The Voice Kids 2013. After temporarily leaving the stage to focus on studying and perfecting his voice, Quang Anh returned with the stage name RHYDER, pursuing rap, hip hop, R&B music... and attracted attention when appearing on Rap Viet.

However, it wasn't until Anh trai say hi that RHYDER really made his mark with hits like Chiu cach minh noi thua, Hao quang, Dan choi sao phai khoc... With his ability to sing, rap, compose, and play musical instruments, the male singer excellently won the runner-up position.
