What did the youngest singer to be awarded the title of People's Artist say when the award ceremony was continuously postponed?

The 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist award ceremony was originally scheduled to be held on January 26, then postponed to January 31 and now rescheduled to March 6.

Sharing with Lao Dong, singer Pham Phuong Thao said she was a bit disappointed because the ceremony kept being postponed. "It's a bit disappointing but it's okay. The artists and I will definitely be happy when we enter the Opera House auditorium because it's our big day," the singer said.

In addition, Pham Phuong Thao revealed that she had prepared a beautiful ao dai to be confident and capture the image of the most sacred moment of an artist's life.

Phuong Thao added: "I also booked a restaurant to invite my parents and friends to attend the party. They were proud and happy when I won the title of People's Artist, so they wanted to gather and celebrate with me."

Pham Phuong Thao is on the list of artists awarded the title of People's Artist (NSND) in the second round of the 10th awarding. She is the youngest singer to be awarded this noble title.

In 2016, Phuong Thao was also the youngest singer to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist.

Talking about her upcoming plans, the female singer said: "I have been less active in recent years due to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, and there have been fewer art events. I myself practice and live a peaceful life in the suburbs, so I am no longer interested in the spotlight.

However, I am aware that I cannot retire with the title of People's Artist, so I will start my emotions to work again. First, there will be a few albums so that the audience can hear my current voice. I am confident that I still have enough energy to inspire everyone."

Pham Phuong Thao was born in 1982 and became famous after winning the third prize in the Folk Music category at the Sao Mai competition in 2003. After graduating from the Military College of Culture and Arts (currently the Military University of Culture and Arts), Phuong Thao worked at the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater.

In addition to her singing talent, the female singer is also capable of writing music and poetry. Some of her outstanding compositions such as "Chang vinh quy", "Mo duyen", "Gai Nghe" or the poetry collection "Di het xuan thi"... have all been well received by the audience.

With a high, strong and clear voice, she has successfully performed many songs that are loved by a wide audience such as: "Ai vo xu Nghe", "Bai ca thong nhat", "Khuc hat song que"...

Pham Phuong Thao has an 8,000 m2 garden house in the suburbs of Hanoi . The singer shared that she finds peace and tranquility in a simple life, growing plants and being close to nature.
