According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting , a tropical depression is currently active in the sea east of the central Philippines, with its center at about 13.5 degrees North latitude; 130.2 degrees East longitude . In the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move west at a speed of 20-25 km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm.
From October 19, due to the influence of the storm circulation, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea has winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, near the storm center it is level 8, gusting to level 10; waves are 2.5-4.5 m high, and the sea is rough .
The National Civil Defense Steering Committee recommends that coastal localities:
Closely monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of tropical depressions; promptly notify captains, ship owners and vehicles operating at sea to proactively prevent and ensure safety for people and property. At the same time, maintain regular communication to promptly handle any bad situations that may arise.
Prepare forces and means to be ready to deploy rescue work when necessary.
Carry out duty seriously and regularly report to the National Civil Defense Steering Committee (through the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention and Control - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ).
The Steering Committee requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong to closely direct the implementation of response measures to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
