In Thanh Hoa province, there are currently 7 enterprises producing, processing and trading rice, of which 4 enterprises have invested in large-scale factories, with a capacity of about 20,000 tons of rice per crop.

In this crop, although the purchase price of rice has increased compared to previous crops, the consumption market is stable, so the purchasing of factories has reached and increased. In addition to having to increase the contract price signed with rice growers in the linked areas according to the market price, businesses also have to ensure a large source of capital to be able to purchase with the output of previous years. Currently, some factories are continuing to seek export markets to increase production value.

Currently, rice processing in the province still has many limitations, the rate of rice processed through a closed process only accounts for over 10% of rice output in the province with main products: high quality rice, fragrant rice, organic rice, specialty rice...

The output of fragrant rice and high-quality rice exported is still not much because it does not meet international standards on product quality. Therefore, attracting investment in deep processing and focusing on brand building is considered an important solution to increase the value and efficiency of rice production in the province in the coming time.
