Officers of Ha Long Tax Team guide the implementation of electronic invoices generated from cash registers at Tri Viet Bookstore (Tran Hung Dao ward, Ha Long city).
The Tax Department recommends that business households and individuals strictly comply with tax laws and not commit or assist in the following acts: Refusing to transfer money, requesting payment in cash of unknown origin; instructing customers to transfer money with the following content, not fully declaring revenue arising from business activities.
Using ambiguous and non-transparent payment methods is an act of concealing revenue, violating tax laws and can be severely punished, including: Collecting additional revenue, determining revenue and tax payable according to regulations; administrative sanctions for false declaration, non-declaration, and tax evasion; in serious cases, transferring the case to the police for criminal prosecution according to regulations.
Recently, the Tax Authority has recorded and warned about the situation where some businesses, especially individual business households and online sellers, have shown signs of violating the law through non-transparent payment methods. Specifically: Refusing to pay by bank transfer, only accepting cash to avoid transaction traces, making it difficult to verify actual revenue; instructing buyers to write incorrect transfer content; using personal accounts not registered with the tax authority to receive money, dividing revenue or intentionally not issuing invoices when the purchase has been completed. In some cases, they even proactively ask buyers to transfer money to unrelated third-party accounts.
According to Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government regulating invoices and documents, from June 1, business households with revenue of 1 billion VND/year or more must use electronic invoices generated from cash registers.
