Comrade Le Trong Yen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD), Dak Nong province currently has 268 centralized rural clean water supply works, of which only 76 works are in operation, the rest have stopped operating for many years. Due to lack of regular maintenance, most of these works are in a state of disrepair, causing great waste of public assets while the need for clean water of the people is very large, especially in remote areas. The biggest problem at present is that functional sectors and local authorities have not yet issued economic and technical norms as well as rural clean water price plans, so there is no basis for calculating operating costs as well as maintenance and repair of the works.

In particular, as an advisory unit, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has been slow in developing documents and policies on clean water prices; has not been proactive in inspecting, supervising and urging relevant units to perform assigned tasks related to the appraisal, submission for approval and development of Resolutions regulating policies to support clean water prices in the province.
