Real Madrid continue to make a profit. |
The Spanish Royal Club has just closed the 2024/25 season with a record revenue of 1.185 billion euros - up 10.4% compared to the previous season - and a net profit of 24 million euros, according to AS.
Notably, this figure does not include the full amount of money from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the US (€74.6 million), as the tournament takes place in the transition period between two financial years. This amount helps Real Madrid make up for the shortfall from the Champions League, where they stopped in the quarterfinals after winning the European title in the 2023/24 season.
The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has become the centerpiece of President Florentino Perez's business strategy. Last season, Real Madrid continued to "pour" another 184 million euros into the upgrade project, bringing the total cost of the stadium renovation to 1.347 billion euros - almost reaching the final level of completion. The club plans to soon organize big concerts again next season, when noise reduction measures are completed, opening up a huge revenue stream outside of football.
The lifting of capacity restrictions due to construction has led to a 38% increase in ticket and stadium revenue. Looking at the financial structure, Real Madrid is also operating very “healthy”: the wage fund accounts for only 43% of revenue, much lower than the 70% recommended by the European Club Association (ECA).
As of June 30, 2025, Real Madrid had equity of 598 million euros, net debt of only 12 million euros and cash of 166 million euros (excluding stadium renovation costs). Contributions to the tax and social security budget last season alone amounted to 356.2 million euros - a testament to the club's economic strength.
With the “new generation” Bernabeu and the revenue growth momentum showing no signs of stopping, Real Madrid has not only affirmed its position as the “king of football”, but also become a model of top business management in the global sports world.
