Roads closed for the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation Day

On April 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, a parade was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). More than 20 central streets of the city were completely closed to pedestrians and vehicles.

On April 29, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that on April 30, the Traffic Police and other authorities will "clear" more than 20 central streets to accommodate the parade. People should note that they are not allowed to park or walk in these areas.

Pedestrians and vehicles are strictly prohibited on the above routes.

Specifically:

- Ba Son Bridge, from Thu Duc City to District 1 (starting from the intersection of D6 + R12);

- Nguyen Binh Khiem Street (section from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street to Nguyen Huu Canh Street);

- Dinh Tien Hoang Street (section from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street to Le Duan Street);

- Ton Duc Thang Street (from Le Duan Street to the turning point in front of No. 37 Ton Duc Thang Street);

- Mac Dinh Chi Street (section from Tran Cao Van Street to Nguyen Du Street);

- Hai Ba Trung Street (section from Tran Cao Van Street to Ly Tu Trong Street);

- Pham Ngoc Thach Street (section from the Turtle Lake roundabout to Notre Dame Cathedral);

- Pasteur Street (section from Vo Van Tan Street to Ly Tu Trong Street);

- Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street (section from Vo Van Tan Street to Ly Tu Trong Street);

- Truong Dinh Street (section from Vo Van Tan Street to Ly Tu Trong Street);

- Nguyen Du Street (section from Ton Duc Thang Street to the border of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street);

- Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to Cach Mang Thang Tam Street).

The routes located within the limits of the above routes are: Le Duan Street, Nguyen Van Chiem Street, Le Quy Don Street, Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, Le Van Huu Street, Han Thuyen Street, Alexandre De Rhodes Street, Cong Xa Paris Street, Dang Tran Con Street, Thu Khoa Huan Street, Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Dong Khoi Street...

In addition to banning pedestrians and vehicles from entering the above area, traffic police prohibit trucks from entering the inner city of Ho Chi Minh City from 6am to 11:30am.

According to the traffic police, the ban on pedestrians and vehicles is to ensure security and safety for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. People need to strictly follow the regulations of the authorities or signs on the road.
