On the morning of October 31, Steering Committee 24 (Steering Committee for implementing policies and regimes for frontline laborers participating in the resistance war against France, against the US, the war to protect the Fatherland and carry out international missions) Cam Ranh City organized a search and collection of martyrs' remains at Loc An Residential Group (Cam Loc Ward, Cam Ranh City).
Through a survey to verify information and field facts provided by the people, at the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Huyen (Loc An residential group), there are 2 graves in the family's cashew garden, along with documents on the history of the armed forces of Khanh Hoa province and the history of the armed forces of Cam Ranh city, showing that this is the grave of martyr Tran Thom (born in 1917, enlisted in 1947, died in 1949, with relatives living in Cam Loi ward, Cam Ranh city) and 1 martyr whose identity is unknown. Steering Committee 24 of Cam Ranh city has developed a plan and coordinated with all levels and sectors to excavate and search for the remains of martyrs to collect according to regulations. After excavating the remains of 2 martyrs, Steering Committee 24 of Cam Ranh city will organize a burial at the Memorial Cemetery of Cam Ranh city martyrs according to regulations.

In recent times, Cam Ranh City has stepped up information and propaganda work; promoted the combined strength of the entire political system, organizations, individuals, and people of all walks of life, especially veterans, in providing information about martyrs and martyrs' graves and coordinating in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains, identifying the remains of martyrs with missing information, as well as supporting martyrs' relatives when the remains of martyrs are collected.
