
In Quyet Thang hamlet, Nghia Hung commune, a fallen tree injured two children, Nguyen Huu Quan and Nguyen Tien Dung (both born in 2011). They had to be taken to Tay Bac hospital ( Nghe An ) for emergency treatment.
In Quy Chau, Nghia Khanh, and Muong Quang communes, 20 houses had their roofs blown off or collapsed. Many roads in the area were blocked due to fallen trees; dozens of hectares of crops and acacia trees were severely damaged.
On the evening of July 19, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau directed the Military Commands of communes and wards in the area to grasp the situation, organize rescue forces for the people, focusing on repairing collapsed houses and completely unroofed houses to ensure the safety of the people; clearing fallen trees causing traffic jams...

On the morning of July 20, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau continued to send officers to the localities to grasp the situation; mobilized 70 officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau and militia of communes and wards to help people repair houses, clear fallen trees to clear roads.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Hoang Nhat - Commander of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau said: Currently, we are focusing our forces to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters. We are focusing on helping households whose houses have been blown off or collapsed, ensuring that people have temporary shelter and clearing fallen trees on the roads to ensure traffic. At the same time, the Defense Command of the region continues to inspect, grasp the situation and prepare all response plans for storm No. 3.
