Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam shared that the Mekong Delta region, including Ben Tre, still faces many difficulties and challenges due to the negative impacts of climate change such as high tides, saltwater intrusion, extreme weather, riverbank erosion, etc. Along with that, prices and consumption markets for goods, especially agricultural products, are unstable...
In addition to the outstanding achievements, Ben Tre still has weaknesses that are hindering the development of science and technology. These include the slow innovation of thinking in the management of science and technology activities of some management agencies and even among the science and technology staff. Policies also lack linkage between businesses and the research sector, leading to limited commercialization of research products.
