Revealed pedestrian bridge connecting Metro station No. 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The pedestrian bridge of Metro Line 1 station is mainly built on Vo Nguyen Giap Street (old Hanoi Highway). The entire Metro Line 1 has 9 pedestrian bridges connecting to the station's transit level. Depending on the location of the bridge, the appropriate length, width and height will be designed.

On September 9, VTC News' reporter noted that at Thao Dien and Rach Chiec stations (Thu Duc City area), dozens of workers were busy constructing to ensure synchronous operation when the project is put into commercial operation in the near future.

At Thao Dien station, the basic structure of the pedestrian bridge is almost complete. Workers are working hard to construct the final items such as the lighting system and signs.

Canopies are being installed by workers at Thao Dien station.

According to the contractor's representative, in addition to providing shade from the sun and rain, the canopy system on the pedestrian bridge uses heat-resistant materials.

Right below Thao Dien station, the private parking lot, taxi and bus facilities are also in the process of completion.

About 6km from Thao Dien station, the pedestrian bridge connecting Rach Chiec Metro station has completed the rough construction and is in the process of completing the final items.

Rach Chiec Station is built with 4 entrances and exits for the convenience of people and passengers.

At Rach Chiec station, the pedestrian bridge's stairs have been completed, are being fenced off and will only be used when the Metro line is put into commercial operation.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board, currently 6/9 pedestrian bridges along Metro Line 1 are nearing completion.
Metro Line 1 is the first urban railway project in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total investment of more than 43,700 billion VND, nearly 20 km long, from Long Binh depot, Thu Duc to Ben Thanh, District 1. In addition to 11 elevated stations, the line also has three underground stations in the city center: Ben Thanh, City Theater and Ba Son.
Metro Line 1 project started in August 2012. After more than 10 years of construction, the entire project has completed 98% of the volume, but is facing many obstacles due to disputes, claims for additional costs of nearly 4,000 billion, and disagreements from contractors.
